Going to the Marriott Grande Vista over Christmas to New Years. Is there a unit or section of the resort I should request?
Thanks,
RIMike

Many people request a unit in one of the buildings in the west section. This is the newest section of the resort. Depending on how many people are going, you may also want to request a dedicated 2BR unit vs. one that locks off. The bed configurations are different. What size unit are you booked in to?

Two bed room....sleeps six. Some of the time we will use all six beds.

The 2 bdrms should sleep 8. We had a non-lock-off unit last July. There was a king in the master, and two queens in the 2nd bdrm, plus the pull out couch. As dioxide45 mentioned, the bed configuration is different in a lock-off.

Stayed in grand vista 2 times I would stay in the main building if you have kids, because your close everything. I also stayed away from main building and would rather stay in main bldg.

Right now there are renovations going on in the main clubhouse area. So a unit in the main building may not be best. Something to keep in mind.

The OP will definitly want to request a dedicated 2BR unit. The lockoff units have a king in the master and a king in the studio side with two sofa beds (one in living room and one in studio side). The two queens in the extra bedroom of a deddicated 2BR will be more comfortable than sofa beds and you will still have a sofa bed in the living room.

We love building 78 on a high floor. It is a new building. It is reasonably close to the pool (copa ???) , and I love to sit on the lanai and listen to the fountain in the evening when I am reading.
