Grande Ocean in January

We are headed to Grande Ocean in January using a get away. Something has come up and we will have to check in on day 3. Will we get night credits for the entire week or just the days we occupy the room ? Also, last time we were at Grande Ocean we looked at a tree and nothing else for a week. Are there any rooms that actually have a view ( we are not Ocean Front )? Thanks.

When I was at Grande Ocean a year ago I was told that II exchangers were always in the buildings at the back of the property on lower floors ( so yes in the trees). I would imagine the same is true for getaways.

Certainly try requesting a view- there is box for special request under “choose room features“ with your reservation on Marriott.com plus your should get an email before check in and I would advise you to call the resort and let them know you are checking in a few days late so they don’t think you are a no show. I don’t know how this will affect your nights credit. There might be more flexibility for room assignment in January. Good luck.

Chances are excellent that you will NOT get credit for those first two nights. The credit for nights generally starts when the credit card is first swiped.

It's easy to get nights credit on the back end as you can check out early without going thru the front desk but it is checking in that actually starts the clock running.
