Grand Waikikiian Questions

We will be staying in a 1bedroom+ in the Lagoon Tower in April 2009. Does anyone know if the Grand Waikikiian "Superpool" will be finished and open then? Will there be any restrictions on who can use "their" pool? Also, were is the G.W. tower located in relation to the Lagoon and Rainbow Towers? Is there a map anywhere that shows this?

I believe that the new tower will be at the bottom of this map next to the parking garage & the lagoon tower.


It isn't scheduled to open till spring 2009, so the pools would be iffy. But they will be open to all HHV guests.

Here is a press release from Mar 2008
The Grand Waikikian sits on a base of retail shops with a lobby and porte cochere that will serve the new tower and the existing Lagoon Tower. Available to all Hilton Hawaiian Village guests will be a new super pool with waterfalls, slide, and swim-through grotto terraces down from the second floor lobby to the edge of the recently rejuvenated Hilton lagoon.

I called the Lagoon Tower last week and asked the same question. I was told that the Grand Waikikian would be finished at the end of this year and that the Lagoon Tower guests would have access to the pool. I didn't specifically ask who did and didn't have access but I just know that Lagoon Tower has access. But according to the press release posted by Bill4728, I guess all guests at HHV will have access to the pool.

I'll be there in April '09 as well!

We'll be there April 4 - 11 with the kids, staying in the Lagoon Tower. I hope the new pool is open. What have we heard about the quality of the pool? Is it going to have slides or anything approaching what they have at Waikaloa?

Any of you have kids in the under 10 range? We have 2 boys who will be 6 and 8 then.
