Grand Waikikian penthouses

I've been mostly away from the net since Aug. 1 when the GW became available online for reservations. Has anyone seen any of the penthouses available? Does anyone know if these will be online, or only available through the HGVC call line?

The online system lists units up to the 2-bedroom premiere for the GW, but not the penthouse units.

Fix Week

May be the Pethouse is sold only as fixed week? Fixed week units are automatically reserved for the owners. The only time you will see them is when the owners cancel their reservation. Then the thought is that HGVC may use it to rent out instead of opening it for club booking.

Another thought is that the Penthouse is sold as a Individual unit for the whole year? I know when the rooms at Trump building went on sale, the penthouse were the first to go at about $1.5 million a unit, plus or minus. Penthouse units sold out the first day.

A more simple explanation is that the penthouse units are not ready for use. HGVC Waikoloa is suppose to have 3 bedrooms but they do not show up on the reservation system yet. Most likely reason is because they are not built yet.

All the penthouse weeks are fixed weeks...so I would think they will show up only after an owner has released one.

Grand Waikikian opening

We will be staying in the GW this december 6th for 4 days. HGVC hooked us up for our stay due to the limited availability in the lagoon tower. i'm sure theyu want to shopw off the building and have us take a tour. I will write a review when we return. The Grand Waikikian is scheduled to open Dec 6th. :cheer:
