I previously posted this on the Exchange Forum but thought this may be better. Sorry for the duplicate post.

I have exchanges into these two resorts for April. We will be taking our clubs but will not have a car. Will we have to take a cab each day to Grande Pines or will it be physically possible for us to walk to the course with our clubs. Both resorts appear very close to the golf course. Also we plan to play at least one other course. Between Hawks Landing and Shingle Creek does anyone have a preference and why. Thanks for your time.

Grande Pines is across a busy street (highway). But Grande Vista will shuttle you over to the course.

It is walkable if you don't mind walking up to a mile - and I'm sure you could leave your clubs at Grande Pine if you plan to play there regularly. Depending on where in the large GV complex you are, you could have a fairly substantial walk facing you.

Cypress Harbour?

I think that the other resort that you're referring to is Marriott's Cypress Harbour which is nearby and would be about a half mile walk away from Grande Pines. As Cypress Harbour and Grande Vista are under joint management maybe there's shuttle service to the course from both resorts. Perhaps someone can enlighten us on this?

I liked Hawk's Landing ALOT----I'm going to be playing there 3 or 4 times on my upcoming vacation.

I 'may' play Grande Pines again---but it ate me up last time---I think it is a very difficult course. For me, I have a weak pitching/chipping/sand game---I took 3 X's that day!!!

So, I much prefer Hawk's Landing and Falcon's Fire.

Both Grande Pines and Hawk's Landing can be found on golf407.com----make sure you check that site for 20-70% off times!!!
