We have a Master suite (with the Queen Murphy Bed) booked for the beginning of September. There are 4 adults going on this trip. We had a trip for the 2 BR penthouse boked back in 2020 but COVID came along a ruined it, lol. We traded via II and this is all we could get this year. I called and bought a 3 day package for the AI and asked about upgrading to 2 BR penthouse. He said it was possible but I would get a better price if I asked at the time of check-in. Anyone have experience upgrading? What was the cost? I'm kind of afraid to ask because I am sure they will want us to do the TS presentation which I would really rather not do. Thoughts??

Upgrading will cost quite a bit. You won't have to do a presentation. It will be a couple thousand though.

Unfortunately, I've never heard of them doing a free or even inexpensive upgrade. I've been quoted several hundred dollars a night to upgrade a level (on the phone and once we've arrived at the resort). Please let us know if you can get one, though!

Any updates on the cost for an on site room upgrade at Grand Solmar Rancho? I had to give up my 2 bedroom and reluctantly rebooked a studio due my daughter’s school schedule.
