We are staying at Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta next week. I thought I read on Tug (but I couldn't find it) that we were supposed to receive an email from the concierge about transportation from the airport. Haven't received anything yet, when were we supposed to get it?

Thanks

Ian

Ian I believe the transportation is only for Luxxe guests.

Make sure you spend a day in Sayulita. Awesome surf town.

No, it is for Grand Mayan guests as well. They never emailed us, we had to email them. I don't have their address handy, but if you do a search in this forum, I'm sure you will find it.

Have fun!

Just this week, we reserved a week at GMNV for November 2016 using an SFX exchange, and this information was at the bottom of the confirmation:

The resort is about 15 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. When leaving the airport make a left at the highway towards Tepic; just across the bridge to Nayarit 219yd to your right you will see the exit to Nuevo Vallarta. Go straight until you see the signposts "Welcome to Nuevo Vallarta." The first entrance on your left side is the entrance for Mayan Resorts. Resort offers transportation from the airport to the hotel only (additional fees may apply). To reserve please call 52322/226-4000 EXT. 1006 or e-mail conciergenv@thegrandmayan.com at least 5 days
in advance.

Please advise resort if late arrival is anticipated. All members staying at a Resort in State of Nayarit, will have to pay an additional 3% state/Lodging tax. No pets are allowed. There is a $30 charge for use of the safe in the room. Parking is $34.00 per week. The Resort charges a $75.00 resort fee in addition to any State/Lodging taxes. This fee will cover Internet Access, Fitness Center Access, Daily Maid Service, Turn Down Service, Local Telephone Calls, Internal Resort Transportation, Welcome Cocktail, Daily newspaper (upon request), No cover charge at Santuario, and Incoming Faxes.

Thank you so much. I've sent out the request. Looking through my RCI confirmation I see it buried way down deep in the four pages of fine print. Something that useful I would have though they would have highlighted.

Watch out in the TS shark tank airport exit

If you have not been to PV airport - there is a TS shark tank run - just before you exit security .
The Concierge info will be specific to the transportation company and they meet
you " outside " which is very helpful .
HOWEVER -(slimy sharks ) wearing shirts that say VIDA on them will be saying
RCI etc and will try to " kidnap " you to their desk .KEEP WALKING and tell them " no English " or better yet say nothing !!!!

My wife and I know better - but we're somewhat sleep deprived last April
and almost fell for it again due to the VIDA on the sharks shirt .

------
Since Vida means life in Spanish I believe it can not be copywriting as part
of a logo so the sharks us it to their advantage .
I believe that is why the resort corporate name is Grupo Vidanta

That's great info the vida would definitely fooled me. I've been to PVR before but it was many years ago and now that you mention it I remember the TS sharks and I might have fallen for it because I do remember going to a TS presentation when there. Cabo was the same with TS Sharks at the airport a few years ago.
