Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta- laundry and Porta crib question

My daughter and son in law are taking their 4 1/2 year old and 7 month old to GM NV.

For the 7 month old- Can they rent or get no charge a porta crib?

Laundry- I've read on TUG that there is a way to get it done.
When we were there in Jan. no one we asked knew about this service.
Anyone been at GM NV lately and used this service.?

Don't know about the crib issue but I bet they have them or can get them. The only laundry facilities at the GM NV were employees who would do it for you at about $10-$12 a load. WAY too high. We washed a few things in the tub.

We were at the GM last year and after we paid a lot for 2 loads of laundry, we found there was a laundramat athe Paradise Village Plaza. You can do laundry while you shop or eat at one of the restaurants. Therea are no other options at the GM.

Cribs and high chairs are FREE and very high quality. Just request it when they check in.

Glad to hear about the crib as we will have a 10 month old when there for Thanksgiving!

The Paradise Village laundry is great - I have used it. The last time I duse the MP laundry it was more like $5-6 USD per load.

We were there in April of this year. If you want laundry done at the resort, you need to bring your laundry downstairs to the lobby level and go to the back of the elevators. There are employees there, who (guard) the coin laundry machines and take care of your laundry for you. Even though the signs say self service, it will cost you $6 a bag. I took a 22 inch carry on downstairs and the ladies charged me $12 for the load. I guess it must have counted as 2 loads. I dropped it off in the morning and they told me to come back in a couple of hours. It was folded very nicely, but I don't think its worth $12.

the regular wooden ones?

The cribs are portacribs. They are very sturdy. We are using one this week. We have not checked the laundry service, but talked about checking it more thoroughly. It basically will depend on whether we need to or not. We seem to bring way too many clothes - even when we say that we will not.
