I forget which system they use in the Grand Luxxe, RM. I know it's not Keurig, but can't remember if it's nespresso pods? Figured I could bring my own. I know they have a coffee pot as well (but not sure if it's cone or basket type filters).

Anyone know?

I like dunkin' donuts coffee, so I like to bring my own.

I can never remember which kind our various resorts take, so I put both the cone and basket type filters in the side pockets of a suitcase so that I am covered. These are so cheap, I do not understand why all resorts do not just supply them.

It was nespresso when we were there last year.

Thanks Phyllis!

Also, Verizon has a new plan you can get for $2/line/day that lets you use your existing bucket of minutes/plan/texts for Mexico. TravelPass it's called.

And I found out that Netflix will work now, but it's Mexico Netflix, so you may not be able to see your shows vs. Netflix US (flyertalk website has info about this I think). Quite interesting.

Coffee machine at the Grand Luxxe

The last time we were there ( March 2015 ) the unit had a Nespresso with a variety of pods available for a fee of $3.00 US a pod. They also had a regular coffee pot that we used with ground coffee that we bought at the grocery store.

We had one of the larger coffee pots that we used at the Grand Luxxe in NV. There was also a Nespresso in the kitchen and in the lock-out 2nd bedroom. We did not use either of the Nespresso machines as we prefer regular coffee that we make by the pot. SInce all the units are pretty much the same, I would assume that the Riviera Maya Grand Luxxe has the same.

Thanks Phyllis. You're correct (dunno why I didn't even think of it) to just take some of both kinds of coffee filters. LOL!
