GRAND LUXXE HOTEL UNIT

Has anyone exchanged into a hotel unit? RCI has it listed as a hotel unit and not a studio and said there is not a coffee maker or a microwave.
Curious if this is the case.

Also, how are the walls insulated. Someone on Tripadvisor claimed he could hear the person in the room next to them snoring.

There will be a small coffeemaker under the table holding the TV, but not a microwave. They have coffee in the foyer on most floors. The hotel unit has a double door that is attached to the 1-bedroom side of the Master Suite. I have not slept in that side, so I cannot tell you if you can hear someone. We have slept in the lock-out side in Grand Mayan and it was OK.

You didn't say which location: Riviera Maya or Nuevo Vallarta.

NV is a crapshoot as to which studio type you get. One had a mini fridge, and coffee maker. The other one (if I'm correct) in NV has the microwave, coffee maker.

In RM, the studios (I've been in them twice) have coffee maker, mini fridge and a microwave (maybe Phyllis has been there more recently and they've removed the microwave?) Last time was approx 3 years ago I believe.

If both doors are shut, you can't really hear anything, but only if you put your ear right up to the door. However, if the other side opens their door then you can hear things. (My niece and nephew like to get up early and anxiously await await my arrival, so I can hear them chatting--LOL)

Also, in RM they provide milk with the coffee by the concierge; in NV it's little fake creamer tubs, so it's worth picking up some 1/2 & 1/2.

I found a picture of the GL lockout in our NV unit. It did have a mini fridge and a small Nespresso

Thank you! It is at the Nuevo Vallarta location.

Thankfully only a $250.00 resort free since it is a Hotel unit size.

It also has a private deck, nice bathroom with a walk-in shower and tub and double vanity. Our unit had a king bed, but some do have 2 doubl2 or queen beds.
