We will be in Vegas in September and are considering extending our trip with a visit to the Grand Canyon. We would like some advice on what part of the canyon to visit, taking into account that we would drive from Vegas and stay overnight in the area of the Grand Canyon. Also what is the nearest airport to fly back home to the Philadelphia area.

Well, there are puddle jumper airports at Tusayan, Kingman and Flagstaff but; I would suggest Las Vegas or Phoenix. It sounds like you'll be renting a car from Vegas so, it would totally make sense to drive to the South Rim, spend the night (get your reservations NOW) and drive back to Vegas. Turn in the car and catch a return flight to Philly! :cool:
