I have 3 weeks in a Grand Bliss Master Room that I no longer use. I don't pay any maintenance fee's if I don't use it, so its costing nothing to keep it but I'm wondering if I should be doing anything with it, if it has any value?
I joined TUG and see a 2 Bedroom for $2100, doesn't seem like there would be much profit in renting. Selling appears to be a bit of a mine field, easy to get scammed, does anyone buy these?

I did read through the forums first, but didn't find much of use on Grand Bliss.

Is GB a chain or just the one Cancun location?

I'm following the responses ... i also own a mexican ts (Palace Resorts 5 star all inclusive) which has no annual MF just a $2000 fee when used. Like you i haven't done anything with it in years.

GB is part of Vidanta, a slightly nicer version of Grand Mayan they're all over Mexico. I think my fee is about $850, haven't used in a couple of years. I'm thinking resale is the best bet but wouldn't know where to start without getting ripped off.

Ok thanks. i've been to Vidanta mexican sales presentations.

I'm assuming we're in the same boat... not much resale demand for mexican ts.

If you don't have to pay a fee if you don't use it, then you are probably better off just doing nothing. Any transfer fees in order to sell this probably make any sale prohibitive. There really is no value in this and you certainly wouldn't get anything close to what you paid upfront. If you never plan to use it again, just write it off.

You should be able to rent the 2 BR on Redweek for a decent profit, IMO. Especially if you can snag a thanksgiving/Christmas or Jan-March week. Even more so if it's Riviera Maya since Vidanta restricts privileges there (ie, someone who isn't an owner or who doesn't rent from an owner can't use certain amenities there).

if it has any value
Value is all in vacation use .

1 ) Great resorts -
(we are currently at Mayan Palace PV - Marina - Feb 2020 )

2) Vidanta increased the transfer fee (except for family / children & grandchildren are $ 0 to transfer ) to 5 x MF when they added the MF on use only . This was about 15 years ago.

3) 100 year RTU contracts - with a renewal fee of (about) 1 MF every 10 years ;so if you choose not to renew
your contract will end . It does becomes 2 weeks per year after the first renewal .
