We will be going to Disney next summer and want to stay within the Diamond system. There will be 4 adults and two grandchildren. The grandchildre are 9 and 6 years of age. I am trying to decide between Cypress Point and Grand Beach.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Cypress Pointe I & II Are Outstanding. Grand Beach Looks Outstanding Too.

We like Cypress Pointe Phase II & Phase I so well that we bought both phases -- resale, naturally. (We've taken a bunch of Club SunTerra "owner update" sales pitches, but have not yet been subjected to Diamond's T.H.E. Club offerings.)

Before Diamond bought out SunTerra, we took a SunTerra Grand Beach tour 1 time -- mainly for the freebies -- & were favorably impressed with the niceness of the resort & the units. Very strong Wow ! factor, leaving us with a favorable impression. We would willingly take a Grand Beach exchange reservation if we're ever able to snag 1.

So, even though we only seen Grand Beach & have not (yet) stayed there, our view is that you can't go wrong with Cypress Pointe or Grand Beach.

Have fun.

CPR vs. GB

Another factor is the question of whether you are exchanging in via RCI or other exchange co. or using Diamond points. If you go to www.diamondresorts.com and look up the points required in the season/week you're planning to visit, you will see that GB will cost you many more points compared to CPR and more points than CPGV. I haven't stayed at GB, it's bigger and newer, but I think the CPR and CPGV have larger units.

CPGV just finished its new tennis court, and CPR is about to open its brand new recreation and picnic area o/a 1 Sep 08. CPR just replaced all of the poolside furniture at its Volcano pool and now includes two cabanas. CPR & CPGV have low weekly cost wi-fi (including clubhouse and pool area for CPR). There are also internet stations in the CPR Clubhouse if you left your laptop pc at home.

All resorts are close to Disney CPR and CPGV are walking distance to many restaurant chains, a great Wynn-Dixie, and only 1 mile from Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. I suggest you go to http://cypresspointe.net/phase.html to see total comparison of CPR and CPGV.

I'm sure you'll have a great visit whichever you choose.

Best regards,
Stu Schwartz
