Google Confirms Serious New Problems For Chrome Users

Is there really one browser "better" than the others or do they simply offer different actions they're good at? It was once thought, perhaps twenty years ago, that whoever controls the browser, controls the Internet. We now know that's not true anymore. So does the browser matter?

Firefox is really good at privacy, a point Chrome obviously lacks. You can get adblock on Chrome, along with many other extensions and it has become the default browser on desktops. Would the average user look anywhere else?

Of course we still have the stragglers such as, Internet Explorer, etc.

Which do you prefer? :ponder:

I have zero problems with my ChromeBook. When I use Chrome on the desktop in our Computer Room which still uses Windows7 there are issues. When I switch to Firefox on same desktop I find it slower but avoid the problems...

It might be time to give MS Edge a try, its reported to be faster than Chrome and uses the same underlying Chromium engine.

The new Edge and Chrome are very similar, as both are built on the same Chromium platform. It takes almost no adjustment to switch over from Chrome.

The new Edge has a few features that set it apart from Chrome, like better privacy settings. It also uses less of my computer's resources, which Chrome is notorious for hogging.

Perhaps most importantly, the browser extensions you'd find in Chrome are also available in the new Edge too, making it way more useful.

It's certainly worth trying the new Edge, if only for the better privacy settings and browser efficiency. Over time, Microsoft will surely add more features that will further differentiate it from Chrome.
