Remember she quit? Her coach called and told her she was desperately needed on the level 5 (highest) team. And she said yes! So we're back to allstar! This is something that makes us both so happy - and connects us so positively.

Last year :

If you have 2.5 minutes and are so inclined, watch this video - it will wow you. This is her junior 5 team last year. This year she will be senior 5. Zoe is the tiny flyer on the far right side (from your vantage point).

Wow is right. They are amazing! And I can certainly see why they want your daughter. She is very talented. I am sure she (and you) will enjoy her senior year.

Thanks so much for watching!!! She's only in 8th grade. She's on a senior team because she's amazing (though senior means 13 and up so she's not the only younger kid on the team). Senior teams range in age.

This isn't school cheer - they don't cheer for football or anything - they compete all over the country.

That's great news! I would love to see video but when I click on it on my ipad,it says something to the effect of unavailable or don't have permissions.my 4 year old is starting level 1 gymnastics and she loves it. It's amazing to see what the gymnast and cheer teams can do and how much work goes in to it.

You should be able to get in on a computer. I made it public (on facebook).

Keep your 4 year old going! Zoe did gymnatics until 4th grade and then switched to cheer which she prefers (winning and losing as a team mattered to her - gymnastics is more individual) but both GREAT to watch!

Isn't your heart in your throat during the routine? What does she think about way up high (probably no time to think about anything except the next step). She is fearless!
Have fun. They are all very good!

no - it doesn't scare me because the girls and boys under her are fantastic. I worry she will fall and they will lose, but not that she'll get hurt. Of course I am aware that it is a dangerous sport.

We are hoping it becomes an Olympic sport - it is going to be an exhibition sport at the Olympics.

Zoe will tell you it's scary but she loves it. Thanks for watching.

THANKS ALL!!! One day people will realize it's different than the pom pom sideline cheer that isn't a sport (though it's cute and no offense meant to sideline cheerleaders).

What a great video! I was trying to follow her through it; was she in the middle toward the end?

I miss all-star cheer! My daughter competed All-Star for about 7 or 8 years.

Now that she's in college with an intense Math & Physics major workload, she no longer competes.

I miss going to the competitions and feeling the energy.

Glad that you got back into it!
