We greatly enjoyed our time there a few years ago. Lots of things to do and visit in Fife - more than just Golf. Easy day trips to Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkland Palace Royal Tennis, etc.

Lots of small fishing villages to explore along the coast as well as several palaces, historic houses and gardens. There are several great pubs with inexpensive meals nearby as well as the famous Anstruther Fish Bar, winner several times over of Best Fish and Chips in the UK. You will need a car to get the most out of your visits as bus service is available but mostly intermittent. You can drive over to Kirkcaldy and catch the train to Edinburgh, Glasgow or wherever - trains are frequent, run on time and can be inexpensive depending on time of day you travel. A great jumping off spot to visit the highlands!

Beautiful coastal path to walk along from town to town, bus stop walkable from resort, you can do a different section of this path each day for at least a few days of your stay, and take the bus coming and/or going. We loved it there.
