We're heading to Nuevo Vallarta in a few weeks staying at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos for two weeks. We've stayed there many times but never with other golfers. This trip we're thinking of a couple of golf outings each week. Looking for ideas/feedback.

This is more of a sun and fun trip - not specifically a golf trip, but the guys would like to get in a couple of rounds. Week one will be two of us - a single-digit handicap and an 18 handicap. Week two will be four of us - three single-digit handicaps and an 18 handicap.

I know the Flamingos course is very close and El Tigre is not too far away. Vista Vallarta has two courses and seems attractive but very recent TripAdvisor reviews indicate the greens have been savaged by a fungus and are nearly unplayable - especially given the rates being charged.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

About 30 minutes away from Flamingos is Punta Mita. I think anyone is allowed to play these two courses.

I heard that Vindanta is selling day passes for their property in Nuevo Vallarta. You might be able to use this to get access to the Mayan golf courses.

It seems you know about Flamingos and El Tigre.

Have fun Bob !!! We were at Flamingos last week. They had a decent band doing the beach party on our first week. Heading to VDP Cancun very soon.
