Hey guys.. I was able to book a 250k points package for a week in Maui at Wailea resort in the beginning of April. Do you guys have any recommendations for that area for restaurants, places to go, activities in Maui etc.. Does anyone recommend 'not renting' a car in Maui?
Thanks

We stayed at the Maui Marriott Wailea on points last July. There is a great shopping strip mall within walking distance of the hotel. Great shopping and great restaurants, some not so expensive and some very expensive. No beach at this resort so you have to walk left or right of the resort for the beaches. We drove to Wailea Beach each day, it was quite a walk from the hotel. Enjoy!!!

I've heard that Spago's is good. We like the Tommy Bahama's restaurant in the shoping center just mentioned. There is a Ruth's Chris across from Tommy's. I buy a "Revealed" book for any island I go to, good advice!

If you are going to travel half the days you are there (Lahaina, Hana, Mama's, etc.), it's worth renting.
