Did anyone notice a massive inventory dump on the Wyndham reservation website under Glacier Canyon? A bunch of weekend vacancies showed up for November and December. Did a mega renter turn their reservations in or what? Could this have something to do with the new reservation policy? Any ideas?
I think it's too early for that. Sometimes Wyndham has held inventory back and then randomly releases it. I noticed that earlier this year (as did a couple of others) when Bonnet Creek suddenly had Christmas weeks available again a couple of months ago. Sure would be nice to have inside information about those inventory dumps, wouldn't it?
I don't know what's behind it, but I don't think it's a megarenter due to the policy, as the policy doesn't kick in for awhile. The only thing is if there were mega renters who wanted to drop those, make reservations later in 2016, then cancel those to get points cast as 2016 rather than 2015 points, and then they hope to pick the reservations up again tomorrow.
But if the points have basically just "changed names" from cancelled to regular, then I would guess they would behave the same way... i.e., if they rolled before, they should still roll. Guess we'll find out over time.
