Giving out COVID vaccine today

They announced that they will give out the vaccine to those over 65 and to workers in health field starting today in Lee county Florida. The hitch is there are only 300 doses per location. I have a doctor appointment right in the middle of the time period.

They are starting at two. I came over for a 10:30 appointment and could not get into the complex. There are at least 200 cars here already

Well.... They did have their votes counted timely and without the chaos in many other states. They don't live in the year 2000 anymore.

I’m waiting for Osceola to start distributing the vaccine. I contacted the venue that was announced and they said they are not set up for the vaccine yet. Hopefully they will notify me before they start.

I guess people camped out overnight. They now have 600 doses. Neighbors went at 7:30 am and were no 178. They should get their shot by 3 pm

Wow that is good news. For my state, over 65 with no health issues isn't slotted until the end of phase 2. Which right now is Feb-April.......

By bff, who lives in Brevard County just told me she has an appointment to get a vaccine next week. Anyone older than 65 is eligible to get one.

my neighbor who got the shot said it was bedlam and a teacher in line got out a sticky pad and gave everyone a number. Then finally the organizers came out and gave everyone a form, with the number on it.

Well good for Florida. The methods being used provided 2.1 million inoculations despite the fact that over 10 million doses had been sent out. Get the doses into people’s arms and stop with all the haggling. Praying for JnJ to be effective, safe and approved soon so the country can start inoculating millions per day, not per week.

No, it was Brevard County. Sounds like they are handling it differently. Her daughter got a tip from a co-worker whose daughter works for the Florida Department of Health. My friend called the Board of Health for Brevard County.
