If you have a week in an exchange company, can you give it to someone? What are the rules on that kind of stuff?

You can get a guest certificate in their name for a fee to the exchange company.

And it's okay for the recipient to pay you for the guest certificate. I'd check to make sure the resort requires one as some don't last I read.

That's true with RCI, but not II. To avoid complications, I'd pay for the GC myself and then collect from your guest, if that's your plan.

Are you saying your deposited week in an exchange company? Or one they have given you? Once you deposit it, it is not your week.

Are you saying that you could not have your guest on the phone and give II their cc info?what is the diff between the guest paying II and paying you?

Technically, II does not permit any reimbursement for an exchange. They have different rules than RCI. Individual Reps. will "tell" you differently - but that doesn't change the terms and conditions.
