We bought Marriott's Willow Ridge a long time ago, I want to stay about 10 years ago. We have enjoyed our exchanges with our weeks and decided to buy additional weeks over the last year. Marriott's ownership transfer department started a brand new member # as soon as we added additional weeks, starting early January of this year. We bought a few Willow Ridge and a few Shadow Ridge, and now a Grand Chateau. The reason we had to have a new member # (and had to have two member #'s) is that the deeds are "different".
I have been dealing with logging into both accounts, reserving weeks, and paying fees.
Today, I looked at our deeds for all of our weeks. All are deeded exactly the same, one or two may have our middle initials, but I didn't add the kids to these weeks to keep them from being obligated to the fees in the event of our deaths. I called and got Alex on the phone. He agreed that our weeks are deeded the same, but one account (the old account) has my name listed first. The new account has Rick's name listed first. In two minutes flat, he moved the older weeks to our newer account number.
I am happy to know that some people can see a problem and fix it without excuses.
Vistana could take a lesson. I haven't had a single person at Vistana who has been able to tell me why I cannot see all of the weeks we own. Just venting. I assume Vistana will get fixed at some point, but for now, it's a disaster.
