Getting ready for Christmas during isolation

I am a writer at heart. In the 80s and 90s we didn't have Facebook and blogs and Instagram, so I wrote down stories about our family, mostly memorable experiences with the kids. Some were published in minor periodicals. Most were not. I cleaned a drawer yesterday and found many of them. The kids will love to read about their childhood. I am making copies (thank goodness for laser printers) and will put into binders for Christmas gifts. I have been at it a couple hours already, because I also have to stop and read these things. My writing style was obviously set way back, because everything still sounds like my voice today.

I've got a granddaughter due in April and as part of their announcing the news to us, my daughter gave us a book with questions about our family, history, etc. with places to write the answers. It's a way to record some of my thoughts and stories for the new baby to read in the future. I should start working on that.
