Getting into the Grand Mayan this Saturday

I am going to Acapulco this Saturday with my family. I have been trying to get into either the Grand Mayan or the Mayan Palace by looking at Tug ads as well as Redweek.com with no success. Can I contact the resorts directly to see if there is any availability? Any suggestions on how I can stay there would be so appreciated. They both look like great places!

Would either of the Mayans be offering any special promotions to get folks to stay there at a discount in exchange for a timeshare presentation?

Outta luck, I think

It is very difficult to get in during Feb even if you're an owner! Reservations opened in Aug'05 for this month and they were gone shortly thereafter. I'd be surprised if you could get anything. They also are tearing down 1/2 of the 2-bedroom building, making it even more difficult.
