We have booked private round trip transportation for our trip in April, but one of us needs to go back to the airport to pick up my daughter which arrives later from California. For one person to get to the airport with no luggage, what's the best mode of transportation? I assume buses do not run directly to the airport, so do we just get a cab, or arrange again for private transportation? Thanks for any advice!

the quickest and easiest is to take a regular cab back to the airport. The one way to the airport is cheaper than the return as taxis cant do airport hails. Getting back you can do all the regular modes of transportation, reserved car, joint car, shuttle etc..

How old is your daughter and why does she need to be picked up? Is she 10 or 30?

21. She is a tiny cute blonde girl and I don't want her to get in a Mexican cab by herself. No way!

Thanks all.

Also, we are thinking of a day trip from Lagunamar to Xcaret or Kel-ha - we are 3 adults and one kid. Which park is better and what's the best way to do it - rent a car for one day and just pay admission? Purchase a tour with transportation included? I appreciate any advice.

How old is the "kid" - My wife and I enjoyed Xel-Ha so much, and talk atleast once a week about how we cant wait to spend the whole day there next year (we did a 1/2 day tour). Xel-ha is mainly snorkeling and other fun water things, so if your kids is very little, it may not be the best choice. We did a tour directly from Lagunamar, and paid for it with our sales presentation credit. It was about $175 (If I recall correctly) for the Xel-Ha & Tulum (1/2 day each) tour. We had a great time but it was hot as HECK at Tulum in early august!

Now I understand your situation. Good plan!
