We were planning to trade our 2BR Timberlodge for a 2 or 3 BR at one of the Marriotts in Orlando for early Dec. next year. But it was recommended we would get more 'bang for the buck' by not trading and acquiring a Getaway instead...which makes total sense to us.

Since we have never done Getaways we are not sure exactly how to go about getting them.

I did a search on Getaways in the TUG forums and scanned several threads that discussed them. It sounds like inventory is made available on almost a random basis and that I should check daily (or more frequently) so as to catch a good one when it pops up.

My question now is regarding the timing that these inventories might be available. I just did a search on Getaways in Orlando and it appears nothing is available after next June. Is it too early to be searching for early Dec. 2009, or does that just mean others have beat me to it? If too early, then when should I start the search process?

Thanks

Steve

If you are looking for Dec. 2009 II Getaways in Orlando you are way too early. I have used them several years and got very good Orlando deals. Start looking about March-April but don't rush with your decision as II prices for Nov - Dec. Getaways are likely to change. Keep in mind that few, if any, Getaways will become available in other Florida locations outside Orlando ( except Daytona).
