Gen Z "Investing" in Timeshares - USA Today story

Here is another article, from an industry friendly publication that seems to mislead. Lumping Gen Z and Millennial into one group. Sure they account for 58% of all owners (per the report), but the reality is that 50% are Millennial and 8% are Gen Z. the article headline is very misleading. Gen Z is not driving industry growth. Millennials are.

The original article link shows an updated date of today.
Yes, that's what I noticed. I subscribe to the USA Today Travel newsletter, and this updated article was the lead story today. Not certain, but I think they cleaned up some of the wording to be less confusing, but maybe I have just read the story enough now that it seemed less contradictory.

The stats are kind of confusing and make for good clickbait. That said, they also make sense if you think about it. Sure, Millennials and Gen Z now make up more than half the owners, and Boomers are aging out of travel. Also, not surprised by the Gen Z owners, 54% acquired their TS recently; they are not that old, and most can't have owned for a long time.

The way all of these stories have been written makes it easy to misunderstand the data.
