Atlanta is having availability issues (son lives there). Last weekend, my son spend a couple of hours searching for gas and then waiting in line....running on fumes!

Any updates

Will be traveling South this weekend. Are there any updates of gas along I-95 and I-75?

TIA

My brother is working in Atlanta right now and said that same thing. He was getting up early early in the morning and cruising around, looking for a station with gas. Don't know if the situation has improved in the last few days.

I'm not on I-95 but a short way from it in the Raleigh area. The major issues in our state are in the western portion of the state. The noon news mentioned shortages and prices of $4 in Charlotte and $4.10 in Asheville. There was supposed to be some relief today. I would assume the same would be true for Atlanta, SC, etc., but don't quote me on that. The news metioned mentioned that gas was fine in Fayetteville, NC which is on I-95 and the average is $3.77 there.

There were a lot of shortages in the Knoxville area the week Ike hit, but it had been fine since then (just up in price). For the last couple of days, the Charlotte and Asheville situations have been all over the news. Tonight, the station I stopped at was out of both plus and premium grades.

No problems on I-95 south to Florence. We then took I-20 to Augusta. At the exit we got off, prices varied from 4.09 to 3.69, but saw no lines. S. Carolina southbound welcome center said no problems on I-95.

Made to FL

We never had a problem finding regular unleaded gas; however many stations did not have higher grades. Price was a mixed bag. Some stations were very high and down the road a little bit, average prices. Once we reached Florida, there seemed to be no problems and no shortages.
