5-Bedroom/5 Bathroom Unit WITH A LOCKOUT/LOCKOFF (can be split into 1 BR/1BA for 5 weeks!) that easily sleeps 10+ people!

Resort is minutes away from Disney resort in Orlando. Tons of amenities at resort and Westgate Town Center across the street.

We have enjoyed our week/weeks with our unit at Disney for the past 8 years. My Grandkids are grown and out of the house, and my husband passed away 2 years ago, so my vacation needs have changed dramatically.

It's time for another lucky family to enjoy this piece of Disney.

I was just informed that Westgate isn't the most friendly with resale owners. This would be a problem since I would need the points to schedule vacations.

Do you know anything about that?

Hey Mar,

No I do not, I have not heard of that being an issue. To my knowledge, it's based on weeks not points. You would either have 5 weeks with a 1 bed, or 1 week with a 5 bed (or any other combo of beds equal to 5).

We have never had issues staying in Orlando, and that shouldn't change, due to a change in ownership.

It does also have a week exchange with Interval International, but again, that is based on weeks, not points.

The lockout feature let's you break the 5 bedroom 1 week, into seperate weeks. For instance, you could do 1 bedroom for 5 weeks, or 2 bedroom unit for 2 weeks and a 1 bedroom for one week.

Interesting. I have never heard of a timeshare that offers 5-bedroom units. I went to Westgate website and browsed all of their Florida resorts, and they list a maximum of a 4-bedroom. I couldn't find any resort with a 5-bedroom unit. Which exact resort is it? Can you give a link to the website with a description of this particular 5-bedroom unit?

I believe it works like this: She has access for up to five, 1 bedroom units.
For example, at Smoky Mountains, they make all 1 bedroom units "lock-off-capable", so if someone wants 2 br, they get two 1br, side by side, if they need 3 br, they get three 1br side by side, etc.
For Westgate Vacation Villas, II states that 2 bedroom, sleeps 6 privately, sleeps 8 total is the largest unit size for exchanging purposes. It may be different when reserving directly at the home resort.

The family-friendly Westgate Vacation Villas is just 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from the main entrance to Walt Disney World. Accommodations range from studios to two-bedroom villas. Most villas feature a full kitchen, sleeper sofa, and patio or balcony. On-site amenities include 14 heated outdoor pools, hot tubs, a children's pool, exercise room, game room, Drafts Sports Bar & Grill, Starbucks, poolside bars, minimarket and deli, and Cordovano Joe's Pizza. Shipwreck Island Water Park offers a multilevel pirate-themed water playground.

Well, we have a diagram and have stayed in the 5 bedroom deluxe suite. It is basically 2 bed 2 bath and kitchen, and a 3 bed 3 bath and kitchen that are right next door to each other.

I tried to add a picture of the unit diagram, but the file is too large.

Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort also has some 5 bdrm L/O units.

If you buy a westgate timeshare resale you will only be able to use it at the property its deeded at. The fees will be too high to justify doing anything else. Now westgate will offer you ways to 'upgrade it to be considered an owner with normal westgate benefits, however the lowest I have been offered for that is $5k
