I'm looking at my Exp date on my RCI weeks account and it say Feb 2012. With the wyn portal will we still get a free weeks account or will we have to start paying for it? I just don't want my memberhsip to expire and lose all my exchanges etc.

How long have you had Wyndham? Call them (Wyndham) and make sure your weeks account is tied to your Wyndham account. As long as they are tied together, it will renew automatically.

Four years so I'm sure it is tied to it. I"m going to give it a few weeks and verify that it will renew. Just wondering if we are going to lose that free weeks account now that there is the RCI portal. No reason for them to give us a free weeks account anymore.

No, you won't lose the free weeks account. For now it's safe, but who knows about the future. I'd be disappointed if they changed that, as it's a nice perk. A fee is built into the program fee that we all pay Wyndham so I hope it won't disappear.

BTW, mine is on a calendar year basis and updated to a 12/2012 expiration once we hit January.

Mine still says it expires Jan 2012...but I have a few units reserved for Feb 2012 (Extra Vacations). I guess I'd better call to have them fix that before they cancel my units!

I have had my Wyndham provided RCI account for over 10 year now. As others have posted, just before your membership is going to expire, magically another year will appear.

I have never lost weeks or lost exchanges.

I wouldn't worry about it, it should correct itself.

Just watch the expiration date, it will eventually change.

Generally in RCI you can't obtain an exchange after your expiration date, but I have noticed that this rule does not apply to my wyndhan RCI weeks account.

Please don't call it a "free" RCI weeks account. We pay for our RCI membership in our Wyndham program fee. It's always been a weeks account and we now have the Wyndham portal attached to it.

Too many try to sell the idea that we get a "free" RCI account as a feature of our ownership, but we do pay for it. I'm glad you can actually get some further use for your account. The other resort we own is II affiliated; so we have to pay for that additional membership.

True, I have not worried about it in the past but with the portal now available I could see a rationale where they say that is your RCI account that you pay for with your dues. I just got some nice exchanges and could see something getting messed up and losing them........it is RCI/Wyndham after all!
