Close to Disney. Every other year 3 bedroom lockout unit the week of Labor Day. Maintenance fees are paid. You would own the even years.

We're not ready to take on another timeshare, but seeing Star Island offered caught our attention because that timeshare has been on our "some day" list for quite a while -- "some day" as in we'd like to stay there some day, not necessarily own there.

We actually had an RCI reservation for Star Island 5 years ago that we had to skip because of (successful) hip replacement surgery. The reservation was Last Call or some such, so the loss was minimal.

More recently, we snagged an RCI last-minute 2BR reservation for check-in just a couple of weeks for now, so "some day" will be coming up pretty quick.

Good luck with your giveaway offer. I'm sure the recipient will enjoy owning at Star Island.

What are the maintenace fees every year and are there any RCI points?

RCI's resort directory also lists TLC Resorts @ Star Island (RCI #DW98) & WanaGetAway Club at Star Island (RCI #DG61).

Plus, in addition to Club Wyndham Star Island, the resort is also identified elsewhere as Star Island Resort & Club.

Assuming it's all 1 & the same timeshare resort, it sounds like it has a semi-complicated & complex ownership & management structure (not that there's anything wrong with that).
