Free tidy service at MGV?

I always put the "do not disturb" sign on my door as soon as we arrive at the resort. Yesterday, midway through our stay, I got a "By request, your villa was not serviced. Changed your mind? Call us by 3 p.m. and we'll gladly return" card stuck underneath the "do not disturb" magnet on the outside of our door. Has MGV started giving free tidy service at midweek? I never order a tidy service. What else could that card be for?

I had service stop by a couple of time while at MGV last month. I was on an II exchange. I thought it might be because I had added an extra (cash) night.

I get them at Marriotts where I stay more than a week in the same unit all the time, generally near the midpoint of a stay but not always the midpoint.

yup. I stayed at Grande Vista a few weeks ago and had a scheduled midweek towel-garbage- coffee-shampoo visit.

We didn't add any nights - only stayed our usual week. I wonder - is this new mid-week service given everyone? Or for owners at a certain status level? Because first we got preferred check-in. Then my son's girlfriend wanted to have an Amazon order delivered to MGV and when she asked if this was possible, they said because we are [preferred? - not sure if that's what they said] owners, there would be no additional charge. Apparently they charge to accept a delivery(?) And now the mid-week service. I'm starting to feel 'special' :D

I don't think it's anything new. I'm an owner and stayed in December via II. We had no mid-week anything. Only thing we did have was a roach problem!!! I was livid.

Well, we never got it before, so either it's new or they've been cheating us out of it. We always had to call and schedule a tidy service if we wanted it, and we were charged for it.
