Bottom Line: Hyatt agreed to do a "deed back," but only gave me a week to accept their offer. SO ACT FAST!!! I would rather a fellow Tugger own and enjoy this unit for free than for Hyatt to sell it to others for a huge profit.

Reason for Sale/Downsize: Recently moved and no longer visit Lake Tahoe. I have several other timeshare weeks, so Hyatt's other locations, although beautiful, are less interesting for me.

Status: The week is fully paid off, MFs are current. 2026 MFs were $2057.

Usage: Annual usage, starts 2027; the 2026 MFs are paid in full. (Optionally, the new owner can reimburse the seller for the 2026 MFs can start use immediately)

Details: 2 bedroom/2 bathrooms, overlooking the trees, prime ski week.

Points: Although this is a fixed, deeded week, it can easily be converted to 1880 Hyatt Residence Club points for trading to other Hyatt Residence clubs or to trade to summer weeks at Hyatt High Sierra Lodge.

Narrative: Enjoy this gold (1880 points) luxurious, large, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in the trees at the beautiful Hyatt Residence Club on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Private Beach, minutes to the slopes, and adjacent to the Hyatt hotel/casino. This resort offers it all, fun in the Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall. Also, you can convert your fixed week into 1880 HRC points. Easily trade using Hyatt’s internal system to Maui, Carmel, Key West, Puerto Rico, Beaver Creek, and other great Hyatt resorts. Don't wait; the Hyatt clock is ticking! Relocation forces the sale of this great week. The buyer is responsible for closing costs -- approx. $275 with LT Transfer.

Which fixed week is this unit for and is it also a fixed unit?

Beautiful resort, btw.

Great offer!

-Please note - this doesn’t have enough points to trade for a summer week, but does have enough for spring and fall, which are beautiful times to go with no crowds.
- Hyatt also has a transfer fee but, I'm not sure what it is currently.

For clarification, this week DOES have enough points to trade for a full week in either early and mid-June AND late August through September. IMHO, September is the best month in Lake Tahoe, with great weather and fewer crowds.

Additionally, the week can trade for two 4-night mid-week stays in July and August, with a few points left over. That's a total of 8 nights, which works well for folks in the Bay Area, Sacramento, or Reno.

Does anyone know how to get a gifted week past hyatt rofr?

I will second that. Late Aug/Early Sept is the best weather in Tahoe with low crowds because all the tourists have returned to school.

Nice offer. I hope it finds a good home with a Tugger.

I, too, owned a Hyatt. Hyatt Windward Pointe, week 49, EOY even. Also was allocated 1880 points. In my Marriott Custom House review that I recently posted, I wrote the following:

"HOW I GOT THIS DECEMBER 19 THROUGH 26 WEEK

Until recently, I owned a Hyatt Windward Pointe, Key West, EOY even, 2 BR, 2 Bath timeshare. It was a deeded week 49 which put it into Hyatt’s Gold category. Diamond is “worth” 2200 points, Platinum 2000 points, and Gold 1880 points. For the first time ever, I traded into Interval International so that my 2024 even year 1880 Hyatt points became 1880 Hyatt Interval International points.

I ultimately got the hang of II in that I realized, via Grayfal’s posts in TUG’s Sightings/Distressed Forum, that I had to keep checking II early in the morning. And one morning I hit paydirt by finding a Disney 1 BR for 1100 points. That left me with 780 points that I had not yet used.

But I kept checking early in the morning and ultimately found December and January Custom House listings for 750 points, including that Friday to Friday, December 19 through 26 week. I locked it in..."

By the way, my Disney was a Boardwalk Villas early July 1 BR.

So I thought my 1880 points got some good "stuff". Retail prices for the two weeks I got significantly exceeded my ballpark $2000 annual maintenance fee.

I also found the information about how II values each week that it lists to be invaluable. That way, you'll never trade your single owned week at any II affiliated resort for something "worth" only 350 points. :)

By the way, Marriott/Hyatt did not exercise its ROFR for the $1000 I got. Buyer paid the resort transfer fee and closing expenses.

Thanks for all of the info - but let's be careful not to hijack the OP's thread.

Since your post was apparently directed towards me, please note that my discussing (1) how much you could get with 1880 points and (2) all the "within Hyatt" options you might have with a Gold week was not to "hijack" the OP's thread but to make it more likely that he might find a home for his week. Same with stating my opinion that having a Hyatt II account gave you invaluable data that you might not otherwise have access to.

BUMP!

The buyer was unable to close so this free Hyatt gold week is back on the market.
Message me if interested. Thank you.
