Does the Fixed Week 3 meant, can only be used on the 3rd week of the year? Thanks!

@aceventura

I sent you a private message after you said you were interested in my Shell, and now you seem to be interested in other timeshares. I am okay if you don't want my Shell. I can always deed it back after 3/1 of 2025.

You need to fill out this form for new timeshare owners and see if we can answer questions on systems and give some advice:

It is currently in the RCI point system but if you chose to withdraw from that system then yes it is a fixed week three. If you stay or join the RCI points system you can notify RCI that you will be using your week but you must do that 13 months out. In the RCI point system, owners do get early access to their home resort for other weeks that are available to trade into.

Sorry, I'm new to this, just trying to understand how it works and costs associated. Not really ready. My apologies.

So if remain with RCI, it can be any date as long as reserved in advance. If using home resort, then it can only be the 3rd week of the year. Is that right? I hope I did not imply I'm interested by asking questions. Thanks!

This is a points ownership, so the underlying resort and week really only matter in determining the points you'll receive as well as some potential smaller benefits depending on the ownership group of the resort. In a general sense, view this as ownership of 53,500 points each year. You can use that exact amount to stay week 3 at Holiday Beach (because that week will conveniently cost exactly 53,500 points), or you can use it to stay anywhere else in the RCI system that is available for 53,500 points or less.

All that being said, if you have interest in learning about how RCI and points function, it's probably best to do that in one of the other forums or threads. @stonebroke is trying to find a new owner in this thread. Cindy recommended making a thread in the New to Timesharing forum. I'm going to second that suggestion because you can ask all the questions you want in your own thread.

I will send a PM too (assuming you got the last one as I am not sure I did it right) but the week does not include the 2024 points but would start with next years points. Right now my 2024 points account is August 1 so the Jan. 2024 points will be added to my account. I paid the 2024 MF at the end of last year and the week was in January of this year. So you will get the 2025 points and they will be available to you either as "future year use" until your start date comes then they will show as 2025 use. Hope that answers the question. You will be responsible for the 2025 MF and you will receive 2025 points.

Just to be clear the RCI points you get every year as owner (if you choose to use it in the RCI points system) are 53,500. It doesn't come with any points you will get your points for the year you pay MF. The Transfer costs are covered by me.
