They shouldn't. These points would be usable at any Wyndham resort at the 10 month mark, which would be fine for most of the resorts in the system. There are a few high-demand areas that would be tougher, but not many.

The $2500 fee would be to join "Plus Partners" which lets you use your points for airfare, cruises, car rentals, etc (but are generally a poor value).
