I am glad to see that Foxrun fees have stayed consistenly affordable. All of our CO resorts require that we pay a huge fee to pay with a CC, while Foxrun is still allowing us to pay without an extra fee. I think it's coming.

Considering my week 52 is the last one we own, after owning as many as 10 weeks at one time, and since no one has wanted the week after advertising it free on TUG and RW, it still pulls Disney and that is all I care about. Of course Capital Vacations charges a little too much to deed it back, so I guess we will pay the fees and keep it for another year.

We love our week 26 at Foxrun with a view of Lake Lure and Bald Mountain.

I think it's two years of MF's. Don't you own a pretty good week?
Yes, I still have one week. Two years is pretty high. I keep the last week because it's a good trader when I don't need or want to use a branded week. It sometimes sees properties my Marriotts and Worldmark don't see.

I understand why you think this is a good thing. But, remember that accepting payment by credit card costs the HOA money--the card keeps a small portion of the total payment. To truly keep MFs as low as possible, it makes sense for an HOA to discourage credit card payments.

Or, to put it another way--those who pay by check are subsidizing those who pay by credit card.

True. Being on an HOA BOD myself, we chose not to take credit cards without the fees. Our management company advised us on this matter.

A summer week is easy to give away, even sell for a bit of money, but anything outside of weeks 24-32 is tough to give away.

I have had a week 52 on Redweek as a giveaway for a long time. No one wants it, and it does pull Disney, so I will keep it for now.

I voted to end Foxrun as a timeshare, but it was pointed out at the time that we would all own our deeds, but we wouldn't be a cohesive unit of owners and we would not have the management we have now. I wanted to just sell the units outright, but a plethora or townhouse units for sale would bring the value down. It was a losing argument on TUG.
