Fox River through orange lake
Just bought a timeshare through Orange Lake Land Trust Fox River Resort. Does this mean that the 30000 points only good at this resort? Are the points only worth 15000 in the RCI system for other resorts? I looks like we will not be able to stay at orange lake which is closer to where we live... not enough points. Also, trading power seems to be low for this resort. Purchased for $7000. Just rescinded today...

Are you still in the rescission period? Sounds like a terrible deal. Look for a resale and be happier with your decision.

For what it’s worth- it’s a perfectly acceptable clean comfy resort but wow $7000?

Glad you rescinded.

My son has logged in about 5 weeks at that particular resort this year, he travels occasionally to the area for work, and more than likely another 3 weeks will be used before June…

All of those weeks were booked using a unit I adopted here on tug-
my cost was $1 total for the unit and the RCI join up fee about
$200 start up fee, and about $350 per week including the guest certificate for last calls…

I plan to learn how to find good rental bargains like yours... Maintenance fees expense is a red flag for me.

Maintenance fees for me are the kicker. The maintenance fees for the unit i used are about $800 a year- the unit itself was actually used for 2 separate vacations for me…It’s on the lower end of what I have but fits well into my budget really nicely, but it’s doing what i wanted it to…give me access to both Last Call & Getaways.

What I am learning here on tug was how to strech that units maintenance fees to the max.

Stick around see what’s out there on the sightings board and find what meets your needs!
