Thought there was a previous post on this, but didn't find it. Feel pretty confident there won't be an exchange for less!

Jeff, that's incredible! Almost free (well, except for that pesky exchange fee).
Plus the fact that it's next week. But the lowest I've heard of is 4 TPU.

If they only get 2 tpu's for depositing their week, it will take 10 to 20 deposits to get a good exchange.

I'm pretty sure that's not what the original depositers got for depositing the week. My guess is the week hasn't moved, so RCI is doing a last-ditch effort to get something. (And maybe it wasn't rentable, either.)

Even for 0 TPUs, RCI gets something.

Deposit value and exchange value are most often (always?) not the same in RCI.

That makes perfect sense if those values change over time, as supply and demand are constantly changing, and once inventory gets a short shelf life, it needs to be discounted to try to move it.

What makes no sense is giving different values for the exact same week at the exact same time, depending on whether it is for deposit or for exchaning into. Of course, this is most scammy, when they want more for an exchange than they are paying in points lite at the exact same point in time for the same daposit. But overpointing also cheats other users as well.

I have a deposit credit worth 2 TPU, so I've seen these as well. This is the only one that's 2 (and nothing is 1).

I see lots of 4 TPUs in the Texas areas and one for 3 TPUs at Sunset Harbor Resort at Lake Conroe, TX, studio and 1 br. for Jan, Feb and a March.

7/11 doesn't pay the same thing for pepsi's that it sells them for, its the same product they are buying as they are selling...so according to your example it should be the exact same price

Do you see where there is a break down in your logic? There is a supply and demand on both sides of the equation, you're missing half your math

When the new Points Lite came out, I posted dozens of Sheraton Broadway Plantation, all different sizes, 3 points each, consecutive weeks for the off-season. We had a discussion about living there for the entire winter very cheaply.

How scammy. I don't think I'm going to buy anything at 7/11 anymore. I'll just buy from the smaller convenience stores.

Yes but 7/11's primary means of profit is the mark ups. They don't charge an $89 membership fee and a $189 fee to bring in your hot dog to exchange for someone else's candy bar and don't forget renting out your big gulp that they got for free instead of keeping it for the exchangers.

But I do agree that if you don't like it don't use it.
