based on a variety of factors including crime rates, corruption, taxes, weather, commuting times. . Miami is # 1, with Detroit and Flint Michigan coming up next.

I can see the crime rate and corruption. West Palm is a little famous for those. But taxes, weather and commuting?? I don't know if those are so bad. Florida has pretty low taxes or so I thought. The weather?? Are they serious?? That's why people go there. I've never really seen a big traffic jam but I usually don't drive during commuting hours.
Anyway I'm not giving up any of my weeks this year so don't anyone take this as a sign that trades will improve.

Well, if they counted in property taxes and insurance then I can see it. Both of them are whoppers, as I well know
I have been in downtown at rush hour and don't see it as any different than rush hour elsewhere - traffic at a crawl.
Maybe the weather thing came from blistering hot summers? I don't really get that one myself. We don't get the rain we used to (and really need) and we've not had a real hurricane in years. Winters in FL have been getting sucky though for years now - many more days of cold temps from late November thru February - follwed immediately by super hot days. Crazy.
Yeah, overall I don't get why West Palm Beach made it on the list. Miami I totally agree with however.
