I realize that a fixed unit/week that has not been converted to points is not part of Club Wyndham Plus, but does anyone who might have both points and fixed weeks know if there is a guest fee to let someone else besides the deeded owner use the fixed week?

I own at shearwater (not converted to points) and no there is not a guest fee to book that resort.

A Club Wyndham guest certificate is required for a fixed week converted to points not an unconverted contract.

A guest certificate is required but there is no fee if you are using one of your free ones.

Free ones? I was not aware that weeks had any limit on guest usage. I know my Avenue Plaza does not. Which Wyndham resorts limit guest usage in the weeks system?

The op private messaged me about my converted fixed week from another thread so I assumed that's what was being discussed here.

I modified my post.

I talked with a Wyndham rep this morning who handled fixed weeks. She was knowledgeable of the different ownership types, having also worked in their points program. Short answer is that most fixed week owners not part of club Wyndham points don’t have to pay a guest fee if they want someone else to use their unit.
She did mention, however, that there might be a couple of resorts that don’t allow guests in peak seasons, and mentioned Dolphin Cove in CA as an example. That doesn’t sound quite right if there was a fixed week only owner there, as Wyndham wouldn’t be able to rent it out if it’s not part of the program. But most Wyndham resorts that have old fixed week contracts just allow a fixed week owner to assign to someone else without a fee.

Dolphin's Cove has floating weeks with seasons such as prime and lower. They might not even have fixed weeks.
