I called RCI today about some problems I was having, and I mentioned that a lot of the functionality didn't work in IE so I had to use a different browser. The web support guy suggested that I turn on IE's Compatibility Mode, which I did. It made a WORLD of difference. I can now pull up calendars and everything else that wasn't working.
Just click "Compatibility View" on the Tools menu or click the icon that looks like a broken page.
