You got a tremendous deal! We paid over $50K for what you bought. I will have to use more than a lifetime of VIP benefits to make up that difference in price. Remember this when you find some things (like housekeeping) you may want to do with your membership require fees.

I hope you get to enjoy many, many years of wonderful vacations with yours. Welcome to TUG!

One of the pool guests was pitched $60,000 for 308,000 points this week here at Sea Gardens. You did good.

The $50k-$60k is retail price, which includes 15%-18% APR for 5 years, *if* financed through the resort.

That's when the sales weasels get really creative trying to sell this big ticket item to those who can't really afford it by using introductory credit card deals and instructing the new buyer to just apply for a new credit card when the introductory offer expires.

The innocent uneducated victim jumps for zero percent interest for 9 months with the thought of jumping to a new card to keep that introductory rate.

When the truth hits them later on... they've got this chunk of debt on one card and no new card will offer them a new deal and they are now stuck with the regular credit card interest rate. Could be something like 25% for however long it takes!
