We have used both the Ralyes (usually walk back and forth) and the Safeway. However if you are driving up 50 from SAC or SFO area, there is the Folsom Costco off Bidwell. We stop and get wine, gatorade, chips and proteins for our stay. Plus cheep gas for the trip up and down 50.

I'm surprised you had a queen bed. I thought all of the beds in both the one bedroom and studios are now kings.

We are scheduled to stay here mid-December, COVID allowing-are def on the fence re coming from oregon though feel like we could make safe choices about how we spend our time (eg cook most meals in unit, skiing feels safe).

The Marriott did a good job with cleaning the unit, and we felt that it was quite possible to be mostly "contactless". The parking is all valet (included in our exchange) and very efficient, although it does mean someone else is driving the car, although given the low likelihood of fomite (surface) transmission we did not worry about that.

Basecamp Pizza was great and their take-out set up was as close to contactless as is reasonably possible and Fire and Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern have take out windows for food and drink (all walkable). The Marriott gym was closed completely while we were there mid-November and, along with the business center, was allowing only 1 person in at a time and cleaning in-between. They may both still be closed.

We enjoyed our visit and although definitely a certain amount less safe than staying home, our compromise is going to places that we can drive to and being careful.

Probably my mistake and undoubtedly a California king (since indeed it is listed as a king), although it did not seem long enough for that either. We have an eastern king at home (wider than CA king, which is narrower and "queen like" in width but longer) and most all of the resorts we stay in that are labeled "king" bed are eastern kings as well. It is always quite noticeable to us that the bed is not as wide and we each have less "real estate" to maneuver in .
