I understand that if you pay the maintenance fee with a credit card you will probably be charged a foreign transaction fee because it will process through a bank in Belize, but when I attempt to pay with a direct debit it says "Your bank account is with a U.S. bank, and you understand that your bank may charge for this service." So are the checks processed through an out of the country bank also? If yes, have you figured out which way is the least expensive?

Thanks.

There is no processing fee when you pay your maintenance fee with a check. The least expensive is to rent. There are many ways to rent that are less than the maintenance fee.

I used to pay by check, no fees, last time I paid with a Capital One credit card, no fee.
