Hello! This is my first post :)

I'm taking over my grandparents timeshare which is at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas Planatium Interchange.

Is it a huge hassle to do the transfer of deed myself or am I better off hiring the paralegal they recommended who is rather expensive.

Thanks,
Lisa

I don't know what you consider to be rather expensive, but LT Transfers (www.lttransfers.com) does these for a couple hundred dollars.

If you do not have the legal background to do this yourself (few do), it makes sense to pay to have it done correctly.

I would use LT Transfers also - a deed is a legal document and you want it done right.

I have found it easy but then I am a real estate attorney . Lol Seriously, if you don't know what you're doing have it done. As we learned in the Westgate thread make sure it is recorded. Does the fee include the recording fee? That might be why the fee seems high.

LT Transfers is $150-$225 for deed preparation, depending on state. Deed recording and postage is typically in the $25-$50 depending on state and mail options. Resort transfer fees vary widely ($100-$325 is typical). That would make the total range $275-$600 depending on resort and state.
