It is fun to see the trades that SDO pulls. From what I understand II treats both sides of the lockoff at SDO equally or as large 1 bedrooms, so you will always be able to bank (2) 1 bedroom weeks with II with your SDO Lockoff. We have traded for Marriott, Westin Mission Hills and Kierland with just our first year of trading our SDO weeks....

I think its a GREAT trader for the amount of MF we pay.

Hands down, SDO (purchased resale of course) offers the best vacation bang for the buck. Very low initial resale purchase price, low maintenance fees (for a Starwood property), a well maintained resort, and a great II trader. It usually pulls the same available inventory on II as my WKV. It is also dual affiliated with both II and RCI, and certain weeks are also acceptable for trade by SFX, all of which I've joined to take advantage of their "Last Call"/"Extra Vacations"(RCI), "Getaway Specials"/"Getaways" (II) and "sell-off list" (SFX).

SDO (purchased resale of course) was a great way for our family to evaluate timeshare ownership before spending serious cash on the idea.
