I haven't had fresh sweet corn on the cob in years. The Kaunakakai Elementary School was having a fundraiser, a dozen ears for $10 so we stopped by to give support.
The kids were out front of the school trying to wave people in. They cheered and threw Shaka's as we turned in. They had it set up with a nice drive through. Mokulele Airlines was one of the sponsors and they brought the corn over from Maui.
I was surprised, the corn was excellent with nice sized ears and nice small kernels. Great corn and all for a good cause.
