My newly purchased Wyndham Points deed was delivered to Wyndham on 10/27/2015. They are telling me it takes 4-6 weeks to get in their system. Is there a way to speed this process? Is there a secret number I can call ? I was told today by owner services/#3, the closing dept. Is working on it.

Wyndham seems to speed things up on transferring deeds at the end of the year. Bet you have them transfer before Christmas.

4-6 weeks from 10/27 starts next week, ends in mid-December.

My last contract was "completed" by Wyndham on the last day of the sixth week. Betting "resale" gets rubber stamped with a "bottom of the pile" notation.....

Personally, I think it's more random than that. Staffing -- turnover, people out sick, on vacation -- may have something to do with it. Phases of the moon, alignment of stars and satellites. I doubt the clerks who are doing this have sinister motives.

Transfers can happen incredibly quickly.

I posted this on November 2, 2013:

eBay auction for 500K at Bonnet Creek ended October 12th. Points appeared in my account on November 1st -- less than three weeks later.

Seller was tttimeshares.

Similar situation here.

I knew what I was getting into bidding this late in the year, but I couldn't pass up a good deal. Hoping to get points before the end of December so I can bank them, but if not it isn't the end of the world.

I've got a decent chance but if the timeline is "worst case" I probably won't make it. The closing company (Sumday's usual) said they will do what they can but we all know it is up to Wyndham once they have the docs.

It can also be like my most recent one, which got to Wyndham on October 7th, but has now been sent back to the closing company on November 12th due to a problem with the deed. I'm waiting to hear from the closing company as to what exactly the problem is.

I usually get told 6-8 weeks. I've never had a contract transfer complete sooner than 6 and I have had them go all the way to the last day of the 8th week.
