Fiesta Americana pulled from Club Exchange program?

Does anyone know what is behind this sudden change? There was availability last week when I checked. Anything to do with the merger (would not think so..)?

Or perhaps trying to sell a brand new resort in the area?

Or maybe FA doesn't have enough inventory available with hotels at partial capacity. FA might want all that inventory available for FA members.

I'm sure someone with an FA membership could tells us if they can still book.

Does this apply to all FA mexico or just Cabo.

In Cabo could be the 2021 addition of HGVC Cabo or could be the merger, which has Cabo Azul.

I would not think Cabo only would drive a system-wide FA halt unless Diamond owns Mexican properties at other FA locations?

It is all FA properties from what I can see.

I believe it has more to do with sales than availability. I suspected it was HGVC driven (or at least not having a reason to fight for us) when AI became mandatory.

I know RCI inventory comes from a different developer bucket, but based on availability there I do not think there is much scarcity of inventory.

I am not upset with how HGVC is treating us ... I understand they have other incentives besides us. Just saying what I suspect is driving them.

I hope this doesn't affect existing reservations because i have SIX rooms booked the 2nd week of December for a bunch of us going! Definitely not happy if this is permanent.

Just checked - my reservations are still there at least - which is good because half of us have booked flights.

When we were in Cabo in February/March Resorts were limited to 50% capacity.
