I know the tricks for obtaining ff coach seats and have been successful using the minimum miles for 3 r/ts for dh and me to Europe and 1 to Alaska all in summer. For our '07 trip to Rome, Switzerland and ?? dh and I each have enough miles to book easy pass, but that same # of miles could get us First/Business if we know how to snag those seats.

Do any Tuggers have suggestions on when to try to book those seats. I know that for regular coach 335-331 days out is prime booking time, but is it different for first class? Just for fun I tried to see what Continental had for this summer and, while easy pass was widely available, there were quite a few first/business class seats offered at that same mileage level outbound (none homeward bound though).

Advice from you experienced Tuggers would be greatly appreciated!

Try calling the partner desk and see what they might have available on other Partner airlines. They can see a lot more possible routings than you can on CO's website.

I think the seats are available in the same 11 mo ahead time frame but I am not totally sure.

I've heard you can waitlist but I'm not sure of the ins and outs on that.
